I will be presenting, "Primary Language Support in Linguistically Diverse Schools". This presentation is part of the research to satisfy my doctoral studies. I chose this line of research because I saw a need to address the language needs for schools and teachers that serve linguistically diverse populations. What can schools do when primary language programs are not an option?
I learned to speak Spanish as a second language in high school and went on to be a Spanish Literature major at UCLA. I believe that learning another language increases your knowledge and gives access to the world.

I am a Coordinator of Categorical Programs and oversee the Title I and Title III programs for my district. I have worked in education for over 20 years as a teacher, an assistant principal and now as district admin. I love finding new and innovative ways to engage teachers and students in learning opportunities to increase student academic.

Outside of work, I love to enjoy beautiful Southern California by hiking and camping. I also play Pokemon, so if you need a new friend or need to make a trade let me know!
