Student engagement is created when the teacher asks the students to do something. This session shows teachers how to create student engagement using Language Objectives. Students should be directed to do something at least every 90 seconds. Strategies include pronunciation, tracked reading, whiteboards, pair-shares, gestures, and students answering questions in complete sentences using academic language from the lessons. Attendees will see videos and practice in groups.
