During 2017, the U.S. was the top country of destination for immigrants; México was the second country with most emigrants, 15 million, only overcome by India. By 2017, in the U.S. there were 11.5 million First Generation Mexicans and 24.3 million Second and Third Generation. This sums up to approximately 35.8 million Mexicans in the U.S.
