I am a Bilingual Chicana teacher who teaches both English and ELD at the high school level in the Bay Area. I also was a paraprofessional at the elementary school level for five years. My classroom and teaching practice is student focused and revolves around empowering our students. They are the present and the future. Aside from the two courses I teach, I am also the adviser to three clubs: SLAM club, Bring Change 2 Mind, and #OurVoicesMatter. My goal is to continue helping and empowering not only our students, but colleagues and our community.
