Peter Flores III is a K-12 Administrator/Educator, transformative leader and advocate for diversity, inclusion, equity, and access for all students and parents. Peter presented twice at the International Cultural Proficiency Institute, attended and facilitated at the Institute for Equity in Education, and attended and co-facilitated cultural proficiency training at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles as part of the Tools for Tolerance for Educators program. Peter has also conducted presentations on cultural proficiency and social justice for the Santa Maria Valley NAACP, Santa Barbara County Office of Education, Santa Maria Bonita School District, Allan Hancock College, University of California Santa Barbara, the Center for Leadership Equity and Research (CLEAR) and California Association of Bilingual Educators (CABE). He has co-authored ACSA Leadership articles titled “Overcoming Barriers to Change” and “Leading from the Fields: Transformative Leadership from Santa Maria.” Peter was recently recognized as a Senior Associate for the Center for Culturally Proficient Educational Practice (CCPEP).
He earned an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration from West Hills College and a Bachelor of Science Liberal Arts degree from Excelsior College. He attended John F. Kennedy University and earned his administrative credentials, completed his Master of Arts in Education from Ashford University, and is a doctoral candidate in the Educational Leadership program with CSU Channel Islands and Fresno State.
