Dr. Aracely Fox is currently the Director of Dual Language Programs for the Oxnard School District, where she has served for the past eighteen years. Her professional roles include classroom teacher, teacher on special assignment, school principal, and district administrator. Her experience in education spans across grade levels and programs, including primary and middle school settings as well as gifted and bilingual education. Aracely earned a double major in Spanish and Latin American Iberian Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara. She later earned a Master’s Degree from California Lutheran University and a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from the same institution. As a first-generation Mexican-American, Aracely experienced firsthand the struggles and challenges underrepresented students typically face. Reflecting on her own experience and recognizing the influence others had on her academic journey, Aracely was inspired to work within the education system to become a voice and advocate for all students. Dr. Aracely Fox is committed to the work of providing equal opportunity and access to all students regardless of ethnicity, race, or social standing.
