Patricia Karlin has spent more than 30 years as an equity-driven leader serving public schools in California. She currently serves as the Coordinator of State & Federal Programs at the San Diego County Office of Education. She has been in this role since 2017 and she supports 43 districts and over 100 charter schools in San Diego County. She is San Diego County’s Federal Program Monitoring (FPM) and Williams lead. As an English learner student advocate, Patricia is a Regional English Learner Specialist for Region 9 as well as a member of the English Learner Leadership & Legacy Initiative. Patricia has been working with State & Federal programs since 2006. She has served in State & Federal leadership roles at the site (middle and high school), district, county, and state levels. Patricia has proudly served on the CAASFEP Board since 2019 and has been the Professional Learning Chair since 2021. Patricia is a member of CABE, CALSA, and NAFEPA.
